Alissa holds a degree in History (Hons) from the University of Victoria and a M.Phil in Public History & Cultural Heritage from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. She has previously worked as a research assistant for Landscapes of Injustice (LoI), a SSHRC-funded and multi-disciplinary project based at the University of Victoria. While working with LoI she spent a summer researching historic land titles at the Land Title Office of British Columbia and another summer georeferencing historic property maps. She also has worked on community-based historical exhibits with the Dublin City Library & Archives and the Jewish Museum & Archives of B.C.
